Insight and Inspiration: Dreams become life.

Insight and inspiration are priceless tools that can shape who you are and who you want to be. We live under the assumption that there are two kinds of dreams. The ones we have when we're asleep, and the ones we wish were reality.

Please check out the page on Journaling. Dreams are great to journal. Write them all down, the crazy ones, the very strange ones, and the ones that leave you all warm and peaceful inside. Once they are in your journal you can read back over them and see if they have a common theme. Try to remember what was happening the day before you had the dream and write that down too.

While asleep you have no boundaries. You have no logic, and your imagination doesn't have to be constrained by your truth or your concept of possibility. Your grown up sensibility is not on duty. Anything could happen in a that unconscious mind and it's okay.

Have you ever been in the midst of a bizarre dream and realized how crazy it was and then you were immediately awake? Your grownup took over.

Your conscious thought is controlled by your grown up. The grown up wants to stay in the here and now, accomplishing all your responsibilities. It is that grown up that steps in and blocks your faith line to God. On other pages you will read about the true concept of faith. The act of getting out of the way and allowing God to do what He knows is best for you. For the faithful insight and inspiration come from God. He gives you those dreams for your future. Spend time meditating with Him and believe in His ideas for your future.

“There is no end to the adventures that we can have if only we seek them with our eyes open.”
Jawaharlal Nehru, Indian political leader

When you stay grounded to your own prejudices and your unique perspective you fall way short of the concepts God has for you. None of our advances in medicine or technology would have happened if those people reached only for what was in front of them. Through faith they believed in the inspiration and worked until they completed it.

Open yourself to the gifts of insight and inspiration. Spend some quiet time with God using your journal to write down every desire that comes to mind. Then let it all just sit in your journal a while. Add to it when inspiration hits you. After about 10 days go back and read the first idea that came to your mind. Just that much.

Write down 3 actions God gives you to do to start down the path to reaching that first inspiration. When you are finished with DOING those 3 steps go back to the next idea. Will it fit with the path you are on?

When you write down your desires using insight and inspiration your most important and appropriate dream will jump into your mind right away. If this isn't the case, if you don't feel a huge tug in the direction of your first dream goal, then proceed to the next on the list until you say,"THAT'S what God wants me to do."

Only through God will you know what that is. Only you can place yourself on that path and keep moving forward one step at a time.

Remember this song?

“I want to fly like the eagle to the sea
Fly like the eagle let my spirit carry me
Fly, fly, fly, ‘til I’m free.”
Steve Miller 1976

These words are the essence of this lesson. Fly, let the spirit carry you, and you will be free.

Encourage your insight and inspiration, chances are you have been standing in the way of Gods dream for you. Only your fears are stopping you from becoming the person you want to be. It's time now to focus on the goal ahead, trusting in faith and your Savior.

You, O Lord, keep my lamp burning;
my God turns my darkness into light.
Psalm 18:28

The precepts of the Lord are right,
giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the Lord are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
Psalm 19:8

The Lord is my light and my salvation
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life
of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1
