Meditation? What exactly do you mean?
If Meditation conjures up a picture of a skinny old man dressed in a loin cloth, hands folded, and chanting OHMMMM- never fear. That is not what this section is about.

The practice of this art has been around for over 5000 years (thus the old man!) It has not been restricted to any one religion because of it's universal usefulness in finding a higher state of consciousness.The latin root "meditatio" first referred to all types of physical and intellectual exercise. You didn't know you were seeking a higher level of consciousness when you were doing ab crunches this morning, did you? As time went on the word has come to mean "contemplation."
The different ways of practice presented here are meant to take your body out of stress mode. If all you want to do is relax that's great. Once you are able to relax perhaps you will want to settle into that relaxation and explore your spirit within.
