Air is crisp
All is still
Occasional bird call

Fog lifts
Water emerges
Tree tops sprinkled with gold

God's gentle touch

So early in the morning
darkness shrouds my view
the sky gently warms pushing the mountains forward in silhouette.

Growing blush of pink accents their majesty
edging the horizons like sentries
their valleys wrap around us with their embrace
lights of the city slowly fade into insignificance

In light or darkness
these giants stand guard
beckoning us to their clean wilderness
calling me to visit their perfect creation
where no human mistakes showcase the power of nature
hidden within the boundaries of our view.

Reminding me their Creator remains close at hand.
This visual inspiration provides energy of spirit to serve today.

Will I feel warm or cold?
Will I be challenged?
Will I laugh?

Will I fulfill my goals?
The blessing of morning.

To inspire
slow inhale breath
Oxygen floods my lungs
life giving, brain feeding oxygen
stimulates energy,
increasing endorfins
I smile and relax
My spirit warms
I accept the thoughts and visions now dancing in my head
I allow God to sort them
and feed me His plan.
